About Law

Law programs prepare individuals for the independent professional practice of law, for taking state and national bar examinations, and for advanced research in jurisprudence. Includes instruction in the theory and practice of the legal system, including the statutory, administrative, and judicial components of civil and criminal law.

For all the 35,637 degrees awarded in Law annually, the majority of them are Doctors degree professional practice. Of the 35,616 students graduating with degrees at the Doctors degree professional practice level in the US, 45% percent identify as men and 55% percent identify as women. Though students at schools all over the country study Law, New York has the most graduates. The average annual income for a graduate with a bachelor's degree in Law is $37,700.
