The writer never visited Nick’s in Brookings, SD.

    1. Martin says:

All of these burger joints are related to major universities…there isn’t a major school in Bookings, S.D.

  3. Dave says:

I live in Lafayette and eat at DT Kirbys often. Its incredible! The care that goes into the food is directly proportionate to the size and taste of it. Their BLT is mouth-watering and their hot dogs are craving-fuel. The staff is fun and the atmosphere, since the remodel, is fantastic and alive. The other 10 restaurants that beat Kirby’s have got to be near perfect because I can’t imagine much better. Come to Lafayette and hit up DT Kirby’s!

  4. Joan Healy says:

Excuse me Martin, Brookings has South Dakota State University. It may not be a large University but a good one. By the way are you one who doesn’t know where South Dakota is?

  5. WL Fan says:

I believe it is frown upon to ask for a knife at DT Kirbys. And definitely do not ask for ketchup for a hot dog.

  6. Courtney says:

RODEO GOAT!!! In Fort Worth (and now Dallas) close to TCU (and now SMU)…best burger I have EVER eaten!

  7. David Weeks says:

Also Country Burger in Plano, Texas.
