Rice University opened its doors as a co-ed school, something that was unusual at the time. A year later, they created the Honor System. Today, Rice University has over 7,000 students and receives over 20,000 applications every year. Some of the most popular majors at Rice include Computer and Information Sciences, Chemical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
