The Duke University Police Department is in charge of security and safety on campus. Open 24/7, the department offers patrols, help phones, the ID card system, emergency dispatch, event security, van rides, lost and found, and more. Students are encouraged to download the school mobile app, LiveSafe, which can be used for real time updates as well as a two way emergency communication system with the department.
