Worldstudio Foundation Scholarship Program
Amount: Up to $6,000
Deadline: April 15, 2020
The Worldstudio AIGA Scholarship Program offers a very generous award of up to $6,000 to any eligible student enrolled in an art and design program in any U.S. college. The program awards minority and economically disadvantaged students majoring in fine art, illustration, photography, graphic design, and interactive design.
A panel of creative professionals assesses each application. Many factors go into determining a winner. Such factors include ethnicity, the work submitted, academics, the essay, recommendations, and financial need.
The scholarship money goes directly to the school and applies toward tuition.
Zinggia Art Scholarship
Amount: $2,000
Deadline: March 7, 2020
U.S. citizens, specifically Ohio residents may apply for the Zinggia Art Scholarship. Specifically, current full-time students in an art-related program in any art school, two-year technical school, or four-year college in the U.S. with at least a 3.0 GPA.
Every year, the $2,000 scholarship supports students who want to pursue an artistic career. Some factors used to assess applications include artistic ability, overall creativity, recommendations, grades, and financial need. You must submit your five best illustration pieces for evaluation.
CBC Spouses Visual Arts Scholarship
Amount: $3,000
Deadline: April 3, 2020
The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation funds the CBC Spouses Visual Arts Scholarship. The award aims to provide financial assistance to African American students majoring in art-related fields such as painting, drawing, illustration, architecture, photography, and ceramics. Only U.S. citizens and legal residents can apply for this $3,000 scholarship.
Recipients must be an African American, enrolled in a full-time program related to visual arts, obtain a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, and demonstrate leadership and community service. You will be required to submit 5 of your best original artworks as part of your application.
Krylon Clear Choice Art Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
Deadline: May 31, 2020
The Krylon Products Group awards five $1000 scholarships each year to visual arts students through the Clear Choice Art Scholarship program.
To qualify for this award, you must exhibit artistic talent, demonstrate financial need and be enrolled in a visual arts program in an accredited college in the US. Your portfolio must contain at least 3 to 6 visually stunning artworks in any creative medium, excluding graffiti.
