The Williams College Campus Safety and Security Department, or CSS, is in charge of all safety procedures and protocol throughout the school. The department is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week with several services including escort, health center, psychological counseling, fire department, anonymous tip line, crime prevention, and more. Students are also invited to visit the department for ID cards, Lost and Found, and registering vehicles.

CSS consists of 26 employees, including ten full time officers, four cruisers, and bike patrols. The department can be found in the basement of Hopkins Hall.
