About Systems Engineering

Systems Engineering programs prepare individuals to apply mathematical and scientific principles to the design, development and operational evaluation of total systems solutions to a wide variety of engineering problems, including the integration of human, physical, energy, communications, management, and information requirements as needed, and the application of requisite analytical methods to specific situations.

For all the 4,034 degrees granted in Systems Engineering per year, the majority of them are Doctors degree research scholarship. Of the 750 students graduating with degrees at the Postbaccalaureate certificate level in the US, 24% percent identify as women and 76% percent identify as men. Though students at schools all over the country study Systems Engineering, California has the most graduates. The average starting salary for a graduate with a bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering is $66,400.
