The Lucinda Beneventi Findley History Scholarship
Amount: $2,000, nonrenewable
Deadline: February 15, annually
This scholarship intends to reward two high achieving high school seniors who will pursue a degree from an accredited college or university in the field of history. They must have demonstrated an interest in the history industry and also have a 3.25 GPA.
Dr. Aura-Lee A. and James Hobbs Pittenger American History Scholarship
Amount: $2,000, renewable up to four years
Deadline: January 31 annually
The scholarship awards high school seniors who will pursue a degree full-time with a study focused on American History or American Government. For award renewal, the student must maintain at least a 3.25 GPA. Additionally, there is an annual transcript review by the National Chairman of DAR. This award is distributed to advocate for the study of the United States of America’s history.
Catherine W. Pierce Scholarship
Amount: Up to $5,000
Deadline: TBD
This scholarship awards students who are pursuing degrees in the Arts or History. To be eligible, students must be enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year institution for the current academic school year, be a U.S. citizen, and also have at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. To enter, students must write an essay and also submit a copy of their transcript.
Enid Hall Griswold Memorial Scholarship
Amount: $5,000, nonrenewable
Deadline: February 15, annually
This scholarship awards two students enrolled at a college or university in the United States either in their junior or senior year. To be eligible, the student must also be studying political science, history, government, or economics.
The Guilder Lehrman Institute of American History Affiliate School History Scholarships
Amount: $5,000
Deadline: Varies by Affiliate School
The Gilder Lehrman Institute has partnered with several colleges to offer $5,000 or more for up to four years for students who attend their affiliate schools. Nine college in seven states participate.

DAR Centennial Scholarship
Amount: $2,500, nonrenewable
Deadline: February 15, annually
If you’re a graduate student studying history, this scholarship is perfect for you. The scholarship gifts two outstanding graduate students pursuing a degree in the field of historic preservation at a college or university in the United States. An application form and financial need form must also be submitted to be considered for this award.
