About Information Technology

A program that focuses on the design of technological information systems, including computing systems, as solutions to business and research data and communications support needs. Includes instruction in the principles of computer hardware and software components, algorithms, databases, telecommunications, user tactics, application testing, and human interface design.

While Information Technology offers degrees up to the Post masters certificate, the majority of students earn a Bachelors degree. Students major in Information Technology all around the US, though the major at the Doctors degree research scholarship level has the most graduates in Kentucky. The average starting salary for an undergraduate degree in Information Technology is $54,033.
