Phi Theta Kappa (New Transfer Students)
Award: Varies Incoming transfers who are members of Phi Theta Kappa, who have a 3.0 GPA can apply for the UTSA Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship of $1,000 ($500 per semester). Funding for this scholarship is limited, so awards are offered on a first-come, first-served basis until funding is exhausted. Students are awarded for four consecutive semesters, not including summer as long as renewal criteria is met. Criteria: Students interested in this scholarship must have the following: -Be a member of Phi Theta Kappa and submit proof of membership before the deadline. -Must be an incoming first-time transfer student -Be admitted to UTSA by the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship application deadline -Have a cumulative GPA of a 3.0 or higher on all college-level coursework attempted and be in good academic standing -Must be enrolled full-time during the Fall and Spring semesters at UTSA -Have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file; however, financial need is not a criterion Renewal Criteria: Automatic renewal upon completion of the following: -Must enroll full-time each semester in at least 12 hours for the Fall and Spring semesters -Must earn a 3.0 UTSA grade point average or higher each semester.
