Vision Award
These are awarded to entering freshmen who can make a positive contribution to the diversity of the student body. The Vision Award is not available to Transfer Students. The award is $1,000 per year and is good for 126 attempted hours. The student is required to complete an application, take a full-time load per semester, and must maintain a 2.0 GPA. The student must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, eligible to file a FAFSA. The student must meet 3 of the following criteria: 1) Has grown up in a single parent household; 2) Is the first generation in the family to attend college; 3) Attended a public metropolitan high school; 4) Is a member of a group that is under-represented at Lipscomb University. Beginning fall 2020, entering freshmen are no longer awarded. Continuing students, awarded as first-time freshmen, we continue to receive the Vision Award for the normal duration of institutional aid
