9 Great Scholarships for Business Majors

Getting a substantial scholarship to complete your undergrad business studies can be a huge asset. Winning a scholarship allows you to graduate with lower debt, which means you will have extra funds to embark on your business venture. The good news is there are several very attractive scholarships awarded every year to students who choose to major in business. Each one of these scholarships has different award amounts and different criteria that business majors are required to meet.

Mark Beaumont Scholarship Fund

Amount: $2,500

Deadline: May 31, 2020

Administered by the Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Mark Beaumont Scholarship Fund awards students who wish to pursue a career in the business side of the art and entertainment industry after graduation. The total award of $2,500 is available to students enrolled in full-time undergrad programs in business management, business development, executive leadership, finance, public relations or marketing.

Eligible business majors must have a minimum GPA of 3.3 for this scholarship. The scholarship administrators select beneficiaries of the funds based on GPA as well as leadership qualities and financial need.

ALPFA Scholarships

Amount: Varies

Deadline: TBD for 2021

The Association of Latino Professionals For America (ALPFA), the first Latino professional association in the U.S., hosts annual scholarships for its members. Though students must have a membership, the scholarships support Latino students pursuing a career in business. Rising college sophomores, juniors, and seniors, as well as graduate students, may apply. Additionally, students need at least a 3.0 GPA and write an essay answering the prompt given on the website.

Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship Program

Amount: Varies

Deadline: TBD for 2021

The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) hosts the Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship Program, which awards students currently studying in a business-related field. Undergraduate and graduate students may apply for this award. Along with the award money, winning students also receive a year’s ACFE membership.

Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship

Amount: Varies

Deadline: August 15

Administered by Zonta International, the Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship helps female applicants interested in pursuing a business or business-related program of study. The award amount, which ranges from $1,000—$7,000, is awarded to female students who have an exceptional academic record overall and in business-related subjects in particular. Applicants who can demonstrate initiative and commitment to a career in business have a higher chance of winning a higher award amount to fund their college education.

PMI Educational Foundation Academic Scholarship Program

Amount: Varies

Deadline: May 1

The Project Management Institute (PMI) sponsors many scholarships related to business, as well as other fields. Interested students should take a look at the list of scholarships offered, as there are over 40 different scholarships available. Only college and university students may apply.

The Dreamer Scholarship

Amount: $1,000

Deadline: March 31, 2020

RentDeals.com hosts the Dreamer Scholarship. This $1,000 award looks for students currently majoring in a business- or science-related field. Interested students must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Additionally, students must submit their resume and one letter of recommendation.

HubShout Internet Marketing Scholarship

Amount: $1,000

Deadline: TBD for 2020

Administered by HubShout, the HubShout Online Marketing Scholarship awards two $1,000 to students who are keen on attending a business or marketing career that will lead to a career that involves online marketing.

Scarlett Family Foundation Scholarships

Amount: Varies

Deadline: TBD for 2021-2022 (Opens September 15, 2020)

The Scarlett Family Foundation Scholarship helps students from low-income families in Tennessee. Applicants must be currently pursuing a four-year degree in a field related to business and must have a minimum GPA of 2.5. This includes business management, accounting, administration, or finance. The award amount ranges from $2,500 to $25,000 and is offered based on related qualifications and financial need. Winners are eligible to apply every year as long as they are enrolled full-time in an approved business-related program.

TLF Scholarship

Amount: $2,500

Deadline: February 28, 2020

Minority college students majoring in a business-related field should definitely consider the TLF scholarship. Hosted by The Lagrant Foundation (TLF), the scholarship awards students $2,500. Not only that, thirty recipients will be flown out to New York City for a two-day business workshop. Interested students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Additionally, applicants must submit their transcript, resume, one letter of recommendation, a headshot, and a one- to two-page essay.
