About Informatics

A program that focuses on computer systems from a user-centered perspective and studies the structure, behavior and interactions of natural and artificial systems that store, process and communicate information. Includes instruction in information sciences, human computer interaction, information system analysis and design, telecommunications structure and information architecture and management.

For all the 2,709 degrees granted in Informatics annually, the majority of them are Bachelors degree. Of the 1,219 students graduating with degrees at the Masters degree level across the US, 45% percent identify as women and 55% percent identify as men. While students at schools all over the country study Informatics, New York has the most graduates. The average annual income for an undergraduate degree in Informatics is $60,100.
