Crankstart Transfer Scholarship (Dean's Discretionary Fund)
UCLA College Crankstart Transfer Scholarship recipients are selected from among applicants for the UCLA College Transfer Alliance Program (TAP) Scholarship and the UCLA College Reentry Scholarship Program. Crankstart Transfer Scholars must have transferred from a California community college within the last four years, are at the undergraduate level and pursuing their first baccalaureate degree, have submitted a FAFSA (https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa) or Dream Act Application (https://dream.csac.ca.gov/landing) and are eligible for need-based financial aid at UCLA, can demonstrate academic qualifications, achievements and promise, and a commitment to obtaining their degree. Applicants must be either full- or part-time students during the award period. The maximum annual award amounts are $6,000 per student. The amounts may be pro-rated for part-time students. Preference goes to newly matriculating students. Scholarships are renewable as long as recipients continue to make satisfactory progress toward a degree.
