African Leadership Bridge Endowed Scholarship
The African Leadership Bridge Endowed Scholarship is a $5,000 award with a tuition waiver (of the nonresident portion of a student's tuition bill) for the academic year. This award will recognize an undergraduate international student who demonstrates a passion for Africa and an intention to further growth, development, and leadership on the African continent. This award is intended for international students with financial need who received all or part of their preparatory education on the African continent. The award will be divided in half, with $2,500 disbursed for the Fall semester, and $2,500 disbursed for the Spring semester contingent on good academic standing. In addition to the application, the following criteria must be met and included with your application: -You are classified as an international undergraduate student currently enrolled at UT Austin. Preference will be given to incoming first-year students. -You must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. -You must be able to demonstrate financial need. -You have received all or part of your preparatory education on the African continent. Please note that meeting the scholarship eligibility does not guarantee awarding.
