Academic Improvement Scholarship
The Senate of College Councils Academic Improvement Scholarship is designed to reward undergraduate students who have shown significant improvement in academics despite performing poorly in previous academic years. To be eligible, you must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student, have had a semester with a GPA lower than 2.7 and improved your GPA by at least 0.5 grade points in the coming semesters. An applicant must have made significant improvements to their GPA, and should have taken steps to ensure that they retain this academic success with the use of UT's academic resources (e.g. Sanger Learning Center, Writing Center, Counseling and Mental Health Center, etc.) Applications will be evaluated based on the quality of the short answer responses along with the GPA requirements listed above. Students who are currently serving as a member of the Senate of the College Councils are not eligible to apply. If selected to be a recipient of the Academic Improvement Scholarship, you will be ineligible to receive the award a second time.
