The Nancy G. Swayne Endowed Scholarship
The Nancy G. Swayne Endowed Scholarship was created in 2005 by Marjorie Swayne to honor her daughter Nancy and to provide financial support to graduates of Rock Island High School who are attending Illinois State University. -Renewable: No -Need-based: No -Listing: Demonstrate leadership through involvement with extracurricular and/or community activities -GPA: 3.0 High School -Class: New freshman -Major: College of Education -Additional Preferences: Ranked in the top quarter of the high school graduating class/or have an ACT composite score of 24 or above (or equivalent SAT score). -Additional Preferences: Strong interest in teaching -Additional Preferences: Preference given to graduate of Rock Island High School, Rock Island, Illinois New Freshmen: Complete this application by December 31, 2023 (notified by January 31) First Time in College students admitted to a teacher education major who will enroll in Summer or Fall 2024 are eligible.
