The Donald and Gloria Eklund Endowed Scholarship
The Donald and Gloria Eklund Endowed Scholarship was established in 2012 by the Eklunds' son, David, and his family, together with his siblings Michael, Julie (Schmitt), Barbara (Marella), and their families, with the desire to honor their parents on the occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary. The purpose of the Donald and Gloria Eklund Endowed Scholarship is to honor the Eklunds and their education at Illinois State (Normal) University in perpetuity, while at the same time to provide financial scholarship support for students who plan to become teachers. -Renewable: No -Need-based: No -Listing: Should demonstrate involvement in community or university activities via participation in clubs or sports, and/or other volunteer activities -GPA: 3.0 Cumulativee -Class: Sophomore, junior, senior -Major: Teacher Education -Preferences: Full time -Additional Preferences: Plans to enter the teaching profession following graduation. Current Students: Complete this application by December 31, 2023 (notified by March 31) Currently enrolled students in a teacher education major are eligible
