Glenn And Dorothy Dumke Fellowship
Amount: $1,700 Established by: This fellowship was established in memory of Dr. Glenn S. Dumke, Chancellor of the California State University from 1962 to 1982. Under his visionary leadership, the university system organized 16 separate academic programs into a single, cohesive system that became a national model. A native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Dr. Dumke was a distinguished historian and educator who dedicated 42 years to higher education. Open to graduate students who are in good standing and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Enrolled as a full-time equivalent CSU graduate student in public policy, American history, economics, library science, archival management, or government. Must remain a full-time equivalent student throughout the academic year. Preference is given to projects involving research about the state of California. Scholars are expected to pursue research projects within the Dumke Collection or other special collections housed within the CSU archives (e.g., CSU Dominguez Hills, the Center for California Studies at CSU Sacramento, or other systemwide special collections).
