Simmons & Fletcher Christian Studies Scholarships
Amount: $500—$1,000
Deadline: July 1, 2020
The Simmons & Fletcher Christian Studies Scholarships is established by Simmons & Fletcher P.C., a Christian trial law firm in Houston. The firm offers two scholarships of $500 and $1,000 each to high school seniors who plan to attend a Christian college or university. Only U.S. citizens and lawful U.S. permanent residents are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
To win this award you must be a high school senior in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale. You must also demonstrate that you are active in community service and do regular volunteer or community work and that you have been accepted and plan to attend a Christian university. In addition, you must submit a 1,000-word essay on a specific Christian-based topic.
Charles B. Keesee Educational Scholarships
Amount: $3,000—$8,000
Deadline: May 1
Students who are residents of North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia and who are majoring in theology to prepare for entering the Baptist ministry are eligible to apply for the Charles B. Keesee Educational Scholarship.
All applicants must be U.S. citizens and members of the Baptist church. They must also attend classes on the main campus of an eligible institution, and maintain good academic standing. Students who meet all the criteria could win scholarships that range from $3,000 to $8,000 each.
Disciples Home Missions Scholarships

Deadline: March 15
Disciples Home Missions offers a host of scholarships to students pursuing theological studies. Students just need to fill out the application and answer a few short essay questions. Afterwards, Disciples Home Missions matches students to scholarships they qualify for.
Presbyterian Student Opportunity Scholarship
Amount: $2,000
Deadline: March 2, 2020
If you are a member of the Presbyterian Church and have completed your first year in college with a major in religious studies, theology, or Christian ministry, you may be eligible to apply for the Presbyterian Student Opportunity Scholarship.
To win this $2,000 award, you must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, be actively involved in the campus worship community and demonstrate financial need.
Holly Elliott and Laurel Glass Scholarship
Amount: $1,500
Deadline: Varies
The United Methodist Higher Education Foundation offers $1,500 annually through the Holly Elliott and Laurel Glass Scholarship to theology students who have some sort of hearing impairment. This includes students who are orally deaf, hearing impaired, or deaf-blind. Applicants must submit medical documents verifying their disability. Only students pursuing studies in specialized Church ministries may apply for this scholarship.
