About Informatics

A program that focuses on computer systems from a user-centered perspective and studies the structure, behavior and interactions of natural and artificial systems that store, process and communicate information. Includes instruction in information sciences, human computer interaction, information system analysis and design, telecommunications structure and information architecture and management.

For all the 2,988 degrees granted in Informatics annually, the majority of them are Bachelors degree. Of the 65 students graduating with degrees at the Doctors degree research scholarship level across the US, 51% percent identify as women and 49% percent identify as men. While students at schools all over the country study Informatics, Pennsylvania has the most graduates. The average annual income for an undergraduate degree in Informatics is $60,100.
