Range Science and Management

A program that focuses on the scientific study of rangelands, arid regions, grasslands, and other areas of low productivity, as well as the principles of managing such resources for maximum benefit and environmental balance. Includes instruction in livestock management, wildlife biology, plant sciences, ecology, soil science, and hydrology.

While Range Science and Management has degrees up to the Masters degree, the majority of students study towards a Bachelors degree. Students study Range Science and Management all over the country, though the major at the Associates degree level sees the most graduates in Wyoming. The average annual income for a graduate with a bachelor's degree in Range Science and Management is $45,600.
