And whether you’re a first-year in college or a grad student, there are opportunities out there for you in these companies and more. Here’s a list of just some of the various programs you will want to look into while you’re in college or shortly after graduation!
1. Microsoft
Microsoft actually has a few different internship programs available to students: the High School Discovery Program, Explore Microsoft, University Internship, and PhD internships. They last between 4 and 12 weeks depending on the program. But students who participate can work with Microsoft mentors, learn important career skills, and advance their technology, programming, and research careers.

2. Disney
One of the largest internships at Disney is the Disney College Program. Dedicated to students currently in college or those who have recently graduated with a degree, the program focuses on teaching interns about various operations of the company. Students work full-time for 5 to 9 months, live on property, and this can lead to a full-time position. If the interns love their work, they can choose to extend their program.

3. General Electric
General Electric (GE) offers internships, co-ops, rotational development programs, and apprenticeships to students in aerospace, power, and renewable energy sectors. In these programs, students will advance their careers, work with established leaders in the field, and work within a community of like-minded individuals.
4. Deloitte
Deloitte is another brand that offers a number of opportunities to current students and recent college graduates. They have undergraduate opportunities, advanced degree opportunities, internships, scholarships, and more. Careers and programs depend on the student’s year, however. One program available to all undergraduate students, for example, is the HBCU Emerging Leaders Scholarship Program. It’s a multi-day event and students will be eligible to win $10,000.
5. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
St. Jude has programs that help students work with experienced faculty members to advance their studies. Some of the programs include Pediatric Oncology Education (POE) Program, Experiential Learning Internships, partnerships with Rhodes College, research internships with the University of Bath, and more. In addition, there are options for international students, graduate students, medical students, and nursing students.
When it comes to internships, students can work in a variety of different settings from biostatistics to human resources and child life to information services depending on their career goals and interests!
6. CIA
Yes, that’s right! The CIA has programs available to undergraduate and graduate students! The Central Intelligence Agency has a fellowship program for minorities, scholarships, undergraduate programs, and graduate programs. The Undergraduate Program allows for current students to work in the CIA for one year. Paid interns can work in a variety of areas including finance, information technology, foreign language, and more. Eligible students can also receive academic credit if their school offers it.
Apple has internships, jobs, support, and more available to interested college students. Their internship program is for undergraduates and graduates, and participants can choose between a summer internship or a co-op during other times of the year. Students can also choose to apply for the Apple Support College Program and work as an At Home Advisor for technical support. And the Apple Campus Leader positions are for students looking to represent the brand on their school’s campus!
These are just some of the big-name internships, programs, and job opportunities out there that are available to current college students and recent graduates! It’s important to keep in mind, though, these programs can be vastly different from one another, so it is essential that you do your research before applying. Some pay minimum wage, others offer on-campus housing, and others may only offer academic credit.
