Many high schools now offer an ACT/SAT review session. If you are sitting on the fence about whether or not these sessions are worth going to, here are a few reasons why you should attend:

Get to Know Your Test

Understanding the testing format is one of the best ways to prepare for this type of exam. A review session will allow you to see what type of questions will be asked, what type of formatting to expect, and what type of time situations you may be dealing with. By the end of the review session, you’ll be a lot more familiar with the test.

Roll with the Changes

In March 2016, the SAT test got a revamp. Question vocabulary has changed, there are now optional written portions, and some of the questions themselves were either scrapped or significantly rewritten. One of the best ways to know what to expect on these new editions of the test is by attending review sessions.

Practice with a Professional Tutor

Many schools not only have teachers working with students in these review sessions, they also have professional tutors. If you know math is your weak spot, a tutor can work with you to help you improve your math scores.

The Sessions are Free

One of the best benefits of going to the school’s review sessions is the fact that they’re free. You don’t have to pay for workbooks, a tutor, or online classes, which can get expensive, fast. ACT/SAT test prep doesn’t have to break the bank.

The more practice and review work you do to prepare for the ACT/SAT tests, the better your score will be. That’s why you should take advantage of any review sessions your high school holds!
