Students attracted to this major will study business models, how to apply business techniques to a variety of different workplaces, and will develop a multitude of professional skills.

Business is a general major with a host of more focused areas branching off of it. As such, the classes for the business major are varied in topics. Classes can include: business communication, marketing strategies, public speaking, statistics, microeconomics, and even business law, among others. Students attracted to the major tend to be highly organized, are networkers, can be both detail-oriented and big-picture thinkers, and have interest in business ventures.

As business is such a diverse field, graduates can expect to enter specialized fields for their careers. Areas of focus can include: marketing, international business, project management, finance, electronic commerce, and customer service management, as well as a host of others.
